The Purest Form of Love

“But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If Jesus’ example is anything to go by, and I possibly think it should be, then prayer should be one of the most important activities of our day.

We read throughout the Gospels how Jesus set aside time for prayer.

He spent time alone in prayer with the Father, no doubt praying through the day‘s activities and tomorrow’s potential.

We know that he makes intercession for us, as he sits at the Father’s right hand.

Jesus’ love and compassion for this world was not only shown in the miracles he performed, and in the words He spoke to people individually, but, I believe, also in the prayers He prayed for those around him.

I know that for me, when I’m fuelled up on prayer my compassion levels go up as well.

My spiritual eyes become open much wider.

I can see the need of those around me much clearer which drives me to action, and to my knees.

When those we love are hurting…

When there are friends and family that are distant from us physically, or emotionally…

When we find ourselves surrounded by circumstances that we don’t have the power to control…

Prayer.

This mysterious, powerful, intense passion from Heaven that can move the earth and all those that are in it.

There is no one it can’t reach.

When you combine your heartfelt cries in prayer with the will of God revealed to us through the Scriptures and by his Spirit, there is no greater force on this earth.

When you’re feeling helpless in yourself…

When you’ve got nothing left and you’re completely empty…

There is a power available to you direct from the throne room of heaven.

When you feel like you don’t have it left in you, you do.

The reason you do have it in you, is because Christ lives in you.

The power that created the universe…

The hands that lifted the downcast…

The authority that overcame the grave…

Is available for you.

Don’t concede defeat to the enemy, the enemy is defeated.

There is no power of hell that can stand against the prayer of faith.

Your prayer of faith.

The purist form of love, is prayer.

Show your love by your prayers.

Be blessed and be a blessing,
Graham
